Ingersoll Park Holiday Walk

Hi neighbors!

Our Annual Ingersoll Park Holiday Walk is going to look the same as last year, being completely outside.  Yes, it's sad we won’t be gathering in people’s homes for delicious food and drinks to mingle and chat and catch up and check out who is renovating what...

BUT… the Ingersoll Park Neighborhood Association has come up with a fun way to celebrate.  It's going to be fun and exciting and we would love it if you and your family would participate.

STEP 1: Calling all Clark W. Griswolds!  Some of us in the neighborhood really love to decorate our houses for the holidays.  This year, we’re asking you ALL to unleash your inner “Sparky” and really go for it.  Twinkle lights, luminaries, blow-up Buddy the Elfs, life-size candy canes- yes please!  Get creative! Let’s give Jolly Holiday Lights a run for its money.

STEP 2: Calling all Porch Musicians!  If you’re musical or you just have a decent sound system, we’re asking you to help entertain the rest of us who can’t hold a tune.  Whether it’s your whole family caroling in matching hats and scarves, you alone lip-synching Silent Night, or inviting your entire band to play our very first Neighborhood-a-palooza, we’d love to see you set up SAFELY on December 12th from 6-8 pm in your garage, on your front lawn, or on your front porch, so neighbors can safely stroll by and stop to listen to all the talent living amongst us.

STEP 3: Calling all the rest of you!  Mark your calendars for Sunday, December 12th from 6-8 pm.  That night, we’re going to take a walk!  Flip on our own holiday lights, bundle up your families, BYO-HotChocolate, or your hot (preferably spiked) drink of choice, wander the gloriously illuminated Ingersoll Park, wave hello to your neighbors you might not have seen in a while, sing along with your neighbor you had no idea could sing Ave Maria in that octave, and get all filled up with the holiday spirit! It’s going to be great!  Feel free to leave holiday treats, candy canes, holiday greetings, etc for your neighbors if you want :)  The more the merrier!

If your house would like to be a house musician, please be sure to email Jamie Seitz at jamiejseitz@gmail.com no later than December 1, so we can be sure to let everyone know where they should stop for music.

Happy holidays and have a Happy Thanksgiving!
